Since years I am searching now to get in touch with William Rodrick McCay from Griffin. Does anybody have any clue where to search for him or anybody having any contacts. My dream would be to have GRIFFIN playing one day at KIT. I had the myspace site of the guitarrist, but got no answer since half a year and no updates of the site. So if anybody can help...you are welcome..

I can't really help you. But I'd love to see them play again.

If I ever had a chance to see Griffin, nothing in my path would stop me from doing so...

REALLY!? Damn, I didn't think anyone preferred it to the first one!

I would love to see the original lineup more than anything, because I love the first album so much, it has to be one of my favorites! Unfortunately, "Yaz" died, and "Hawk" I believe is paralyzed, I also read somewhere that McCay is an asshole (< Which is almost, if not, just as bad as being dead or paralyzed).

Maybe some of our resident Amerikanos have some tips on sites/directories/databases where Oli could find the contact address, phone#, email or whatever to Mr. McCay?

...and incidently I would have a very hard time chosing a fave between their 2 albums. Fantastic band all the way and 1 of 2 US bands I always though were missing from every KIT-lineup. The other one being SAVAGE GRACE :D

I would make the trip from Blighty to see these mofo's and I'm fat arse who wouldn't walk down the road for most bands. The first LP is sublime.

I'm partial to both albums...

"Flight Of The Griffin" obviously has the more "OTT" approach going on especially for ‘84 and is defiantly a more thoroughly catchy album from start to finish.

However, "Protectors Of The Liar" does show a much more matured band with more progression and complex song writing. I also think that the vocals were toned down a notch on this album but are still excellent.

Both albums are masterpieces in my eyes and this band is held in very high regard in my books.
