It would be better if you told us a few words for each one. It's nice to have all this stuff on poisonoise, however 10 plain links in the same post probably won't draw any great interest. A good presentation would be much more helpful. Try it next time.

I only removed the Septuagint link as the CD is still available/Mod.

As for the bands most of them is in the classic heavy metal style.Admit have a nostalgic nwobhm feeling but in the swedish way, more heavy in my opinion and vocals that reminds me a little of Ozzy.Prowler also have nwobhm elements mixed with early us metal(1983/84 era).Tryckvag have a hard/heavy style in their earliest songs(of course White Wizard is a pure heavy metal track) as well as some surprisingly heavy songs with a heroic feeling in their 1982/83 era.Prophecy are basically a heavy metal band with power/thrash metal elements combining the style both of european and usa bands.Vanguard is a good german heavy/power metal band with a melodic approach typical for german bands of the era which means more Helloween,Chroming Rose,Not Fragile style and less Accept style that was very popular in the mid 80s.Crimson Tyger are for Canada and is a band that i like a lot with a nostalgic heroic feeling and very good maidenish driven guitars.Mental Powers are from my country(Greece) and i didh't even know their existence until recently.I think they are in a melodic heavy metal/neoclassical style, pretty good for my country's standards and with the characteristic(but less than other greek bands of that period) greek accent.

First thing I noticed about Admit, terrible vocalist!

In case anyone cares, Admit guitar player Peter Olander later went on to join 220 Volt for their 3rd album Mind Over Muscle in 1985 and stayed with them until they disbanded in 1992 or so. 220 Volt had gotten pretty lame by 1985 though.

I've only heard their HEAVY XMAS song and that sounded good enough to check out more, at least from that era. As for Admit, aside from a couple of good riffs I thought it was rather amateur.

Yeah, Heavy Christmas was released as a special holiday 7'' in 1984 and was probably the last decent recording they did. The first S/T LP (1983) is stellar melodic metal and the second album Power Games (1984) has some good stuff as well. The essential piece however is their first 7'' when they had a different vocalist, that's a thunderous classic.

Admit were rather amateur, that's true.

I split the "shitmageddon"-discussion to a new thread in Victim Of Time./Admin

Just played the CRIMSON TYGER demo. Fantastic stuff. Sour vocals, sure, but this wild, Wild, WILD brand of Classic Heavy Metal always blow my mind. GOTHAM CITY-fans take note!

Why do i have the feeling that CRIMSON TYGER was uploaded before? Or was it only discussed? Can't remember. Anyway, opening track and "Tokyo nights" rule a fuckin' lot. The latter is ''slightly'' influenced by "Children of the damned".

Dammit, now i remember.... One of their members had PM'd me to send the demo to him...his username was J-Battle or Jay-Battle something like that. I checked my savebox, but unfortunately i have erased his message. With the demo upload i also asked him a few questions about the band, but never got a reply and haven't seen him around ever since.

I enjoyed the Crimson Tyger Demo, I really do.

It's wild and raw, and what a kick-ass instrumental is "Tyger Hunt"? Good Lord!
