The Transatlantic Parallell-Game

OK, I'm in no way suggesting that these bands were influenced by eachother, just my overanalytic Metal-mind working overtime and coming up with some funny "lowest common denominators" as far as vibe & spirit goes. Let's just go Metalpuzzle-krazy and have some fun:

[Ze Europas / The Americas]

PAGAN ALTAR - / - MAX PLANCK

BLACK HOLE - / - LESTER MADDOX

LEGEND (Jersey) - / - RESISTENCIA

HELL - / - XINR

SACRAFICE - / - BLACK DEATH

...just from the top of my mind. More to come I'm sure. Discussions/comments welcomed.

Hmmm, some of those parallels do need some imagination to be understood, i'm not sure i agree with all of them, although there are moments where the two bands sound somewhat similar.

One that comes to my mind is:

STEEL ANGEL (1st album) / a less aggessive version of JAG PANZER

I actually think that "Everywhere Is Nowhere" by Max Planck sounds very much like Cirith Ungol :D

Yeah, and I think that "Roar" sounds kinda like Black Death.

To spill some beans, look for a massive breaking news about XINR's 1984 album coming out soon on a small, but highly ambitious indy label

What I can tell for now is that Everpresent Angel is not a good example of what the overall sound of the album is. Think more of Mercyful Fate meets early Judas Priest with some early Iron Maiden/nwobhm crunchiness thrown in for good measure. Overall I think HELL is a good pair for it, kudos!

Did you get in contact through Kenny, Iordan (? is that how your name is spelt sorry?) ?

Would be a killer release and homage to the fallen members.

My connection is through Tony's little brother. Anyhow, I'm not going to reveal any more info for now as I've jinxed too many projects already. All I have to say at this point is that the original 1/4 reel tapes have been unearthed, plus pics, original art, scrapbooks, lyrics, etc.

All parties involved are working very hard pushing for November 30th release date, which will coincide with the date Tony and Shawn tragically lost their lives 24 years ago, making it a memorial release in their remembrance.

More info to follow shortly. I know how much you guys are dying to hear this, so as soon as it is possible I'll be putting up a label page with audio samples, artwork, and info.

Cool! I wasn't too impressed by Everpresent Angel, but that description sounds very interesting.

Well, it is very VERY heavily nwobhm influenced, production and musicwise, and there is a dark psych vide in it, and not only for the vocals (which are twisted and very very expressive). So perhaps Mercyful Fate is not very good comparison overall, although there is one song which could easily have been on early Mercyful Fate records, both music and vocal wise.

Without a doubt, "Power Games" is the UK version of "Fire Down Under".

Holy shit, man! Fucking awesome! Is this going to include "Secrets of The Universe"? I think Tony's solo song deserves to be put out eventually somehow...also, did a studio verison of "My Revolution" ever turn up because the last I heard Chris didnt have one, only the live one...

Also, get me the lyrics to All Hallows Eve, damnit!

DONT TELL ME....NO LIES!
