Already saw it.
Would love to have it but no way I can afford it. Not sure what it'll bring, just know it'll be more than I can afford.

ChrXst already at $284!

Think I'll just keep vacuuming the Swedish thrift stores and hope to get lucky.

Yes, Scratch is REALLY hard to come by even in Sweden. I have only ever seen it once before. But obviously, even though I have collected quite a few swedish singles over the years, there are a bunch of others I miss as well. It's not like I'm sitting on every swedish 80's metal single except Scratch. If that was the case, I would spend every last penny on it. 8)

Uh Dan, if you thought $284 was bad, you may not wanna check on it now... :(

This was the top item on my wantlist for about 8 years; I never even saw a copy for sale. A year or so ago I concluded that the record is so rare that I'd never be able to afford a copy even if I eventually found one, so I took it off the Want List and added it to the "Out of My League" List.

While it's cool to finally see a copy, I'll admit it's a bit depressing in a way too. I've been selling a lot of my old stuff on ebay over the last couple of months and even have a new, better-paying job... and I still have zero chance of winning this without bankrupting myself.
Sorry to bitch, but sometimes it sucks not being able to have nice things.

Just returned from my 10 day diggin trip
Part of which was in your home state.
I found tons of great stuff. Best trip in 10 years

You could have purchased the stuff I got around your home and flipped it fast for enough to get the scratch. You just have to dig deep and want it.

Sheesh, the other time I saw Scratch 7'' it went for half of what it's fetching at ebay right now, and even then I thought it was disgusting. :(

glock- glad you had a productive trip and turned up cool stuff.
I just don't have the time to go digging for stuff. Heck, there's a used vinyl store about 4 blocks from where I work and I get over there maybe twice a year at most. And I've never found a single decent record in the place.
I also don't have great luck at turning records over for cash. I've had some decent items on my sale/trade list for years that never got any attention, and when I finally put them on ebay last month most of them barely sold for the 'normal' going price, much less the 'seller's market' prices that metal vinyl has commanded the past couple of years.
I've always been decent at selling/trading other stuff to scrape up money, but not so much with records. I've thought about ditching some other stuff to cover a bid for the Scratch single, but I honestly doubt I have enough saleable stuff to cover the cost, considering how rapidly the bid is climbing.
I just don't have the resources to collect this kind of item. I supose i should quit grumbling about it and just get used to the fact :-/

Yes, it is frustrating for you. But that is life with that stuff. I would never bid on it. I know some people that have it as no. 1 on their want list also and I think this will be a HAMMER price in the end. 4 $$$$ digits in any case as I Know those guy so don't dare to think you get it...I will watch only and enjoy if it hits the 2000 US$ mark.

yeah, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see it go well over $1,000; knew that as soon as I saw it listed.

This single might be rare but it isn't that good, I can easily think of many better 7" singles. Save your money and buy records worth buying.
