...for the ProgMetal fans, as promised:

I quite like the DEPRESSIVE AGE tape, but LIFE ARTIST is a prime example of the kind of ProgMetal than just gives me a headache. WAY to much "jazz" for me, but they're clearly good at what they do so I'm sure some here will enjoy it.

I think Dan mentioned that these rips are from his old original tapes that were sold many years ago. Who knows, maybe it's Dan's demotapes the ones that you own

Anyway, i have listened to Life of Artist so far, can't say that they did much to me. Although i'm not dying for DA generally, I'm hoping that the demos will be a (tiny) bit superior to the albums, as it usually happens in these cases. I'll be back with thoughts and opinions.

I couldn't notice any big differences between the demo and the album versions, it's the same kind of angst-ridden technothrash. I can't be very sure though 'cause the first DA album never was a big favorite of mine.

The DA item is close enough to the CD for me to just go for the CD takes, personally. The Life Artist demo is quite a revelation though! I will listen to the 1992 full length offering too.
