After checking out the Minotauri Rex. page on here I was wondering about these two bands, never heard of 'em but their covers sure rule. What are they comparable to, where can I hear 'em?

REQUIEM is pretty decent, but it's boring in some parts. THE BLACK is better I think.

RUN AFTER TO is amazing. Great band, love all they've done.

BLACK HOLE is the best.

Don't remember Requiem but Run After To is pretty interesting stuff. I should listen to them more often.

Run After To I don't remember well. Requiem should appeal to most fans of Italian doom. Their live album is probably their best; great sound on that one.

From Run After To I liked the demo better, is more "Paul Chainy" (sounds like Dick Cheney :O ), and since I mentionded him also reccomend all of his stuff until Life And Death (didn't like that one, and Opera 4th is kinda boring too).

For REQUIEM I'd recommend the "Via Crucis" LP as their most listenable release. Great riffing, all doomy & nice & things, but as a whole that band (and most of THE BLACK albums) were ruined by shoddy musicianship and not-too-great vocals. A real waste considering their great image. Imo DiDonato's finest moment was the UNREAL TERROR mlp.

The RUN AFTER TO mlp is bloody great, sometimes epic, sometimes progressive Doom. Could have been even better with a slightly better production and less ott vocals though. The demo = pure old-school doom and a must-hear.

Yeah, I'm fucking huge on the Land of Mystery album. I was always a big fan of Death SS, Paul Chain, Mortuary Drape, Bulldozer etc. and just recently started browsing around on the 'net a lot (after ages ha) to find more Italian things so to speak. They've got that special flair somehow...

Is that Run After To available on CD or readily any other way?

Always when I'm reminded about it, I'm amazed how good metal scene Italy had in 80s! Black Hole, Bulldozer, Berserks, Death SS, Danger Zone, Dark Quarterer, Mortuary Drape, Paul Chain, Rollerball, Run After To, Sacrilege, Shining Blade, Spitfire, Strana Officina, Wyxmer..

I was in contact with RUN AFTER TO, but they flaked on a re-release...

I really wish I could put this out on CD.

And bands wonder why their shit gets bootlegged...
