Encyclopedia of Swedish hard rock/metal VOL 3!!!

I had a chat with my publisher yesterday and we have now decided to start working on a new encyclopedia. This time it will be the complete works, everything from Vol 1 and 2, plus everything I've missed out, all errors corrected, all blanks filled, all discographies completeted and of course as many covers and photos as possible. It will be a fat book in two parts, probably A-L, M-Ö.
So, of course, I need help from YOU. I will will set up a site and publish a list of all missed out and added bands I have found after Vol2 so you won't have to send me long lists of the obvious stuff.
Any help with information, contacts, scans, sound samples, information etc will be highly appreciated and you'll be noted and get a special offer for the books when released. I haven't set a deadline yet (we only decided this yesterday), but my aim is to have it ready during next year.
I'll let you know when the site is up!
Cheers!

This is of course fantastic news - and long awaited. Looking forward to see that band list so The Hunt can commence!
Lots of questions/suggestions come to mind, but I'll try to take them one at a time. For starters, what will be the "limits of qualification"? Take for instance a band like The Hellacopters. Their later work probably has more in common with classic hard rock than you average, artsy & experimental postBlackMetalband. If they're accepted, do the hoards of overrated "action rock" acts follow? Etc etc...

Well, the limits of qualification is something I have to figure out, too. Like you say there's a bunch of bands that are sitting on the fence. I will probably include a separate chapter called "Peripheral bands" where I will only include the band name and records of stuff that almost qualifies in the book (no biographies, pics or covers), stuff that may be on the verge of punk, pop, folk, blues etc., but could still, on a good day, be seen as hard rock, or stuff that has some other significance. Things like Kee & The Kick, Thore Skogman's hard rock record etc.
Suggestions and tips are always welcome!
