Recommend an overlooked classic.

We've all got out favourite albums, many mentioned in these hallowed pages, many probably not.
If you could recommend any of your favourites to fellow Corroseum members as a must have, what would it be?
I'll get the ball rolling with one i've been really enjoying again recently and i don't think i've ever seen it mentioned here either.
HOOKERS - Hookers II : Black Visions Of Crimson Wisdom (2000) USA
I just found it on a blog so you can hear it for yourselves, enjoy.

They sound like Antisect playing Manowar songs in the style of Motorhead if you can imagine such a thing. Great great songs, check out "Ride The Dragon To The Crimson Light", "Behold God's Candy" & the awesome "Ball Crusher Love Machine".

May not be a classic but heavily overlooked album from early 90's. For people into Inquisitor (Hol) and the like

It was not bad at all, but i think that Hookers will remain 'overlooked' because their style is too rock 'n' rollish for most members of this forum (including me). The description sounded interesting that's why i checked them, but as i said the rock 'n' roll element is very intense on their music, i thought i would hear something heavier (well, it is heavy, but not as heavy as Antisect, that's what i mean) and slightly more epic. Anyway, that was only my opinion, it would be cool to hear what other think of this album.

I can't listen to this yet (work computer), but that sounds like the greatest combination ever.

Yeah, there's a hefty dose of rock'n'roll in there, but that didn't harm any of the bands i mentioned whilst trying to describe it. Granted, not as heavy as Antisect or as epic as Manowar, just the best description i could come up with at the time. After owning the record for years it just sounds like Hookers to me now, but i was trying to steer folks in a reasonably accurate manner towards how it sounds without saying "classic Hookers".
Hope it grows on you like it did me, possibly the best £1 album i ever got!

Well, most people here will know this band but I would say ARTCH "Another Return" is a fantastic overlooked record by a majority of metallers.

Anyone know Gods Tower from Belarus? I think their debut "The Eerie" is fantastic. Anyone into the Bathory - Hammerheart will love it. Great cover too

Cheers for the SIREN recommendation. I see that album all the time but have stayed away from it because of the gAyOR-looking sleeve. Will pick up and give feedback as soon as I come across it again. Which probably won't be for years now that I'm actually
looking for it. We all know how these things work, right?
As for my own recommendations, it's bloody hard since there's so many great, unsung gems out there. I guess out of the loot from KIT, BITCHES SIN's "Invaders" LP was a REALLY nice surprise. Flawless, diverse HardRock-Metal, and the song "Dawn Of Destruction" must be the ultimate textbook example of a NWOBHM-anthem

Backed on this one! And the demos are even better!
Hopefully Doug will find some free time soon and we can work out a re-issue!
