Only Hellhound I know is the Japanese band; they released a good album of 80s metal worship called 'tokyo flying v massacre'. Not sure if it's the same band or not

you possibly mean HELLHOUND from California ,there is another Hellhound band from Italy formed in the early 80"s but i am sure its not the one you are talking about. The band from California was formed back in 1981 and they released the "submit or die" demo and the description you have given to their sound is similar to this california band...they released a cd back in 1998 called "Ice age" icluding 12 tracks ,some great speed metal epics in there, great band indeed.I remember Hellion distributing this one so,why dont you ask them if its still available, you may be lucky

I only know the US band Hellhound. I really like them, they're speed metal with a heavy sound. I think I heard some demo recordings.

I have the 'Ice Age' CD on the 'Maximum Metal' label from 1998 with 12 tracks including 2 bonus tracks.
I'm sure they were from San Jose, CA?
It's very, very good stuff indeed!!

Yes, they are from my city. Were rather coz they moved, but are still located here in Bay Area.

The Ice Age was released on Oliver Klemm's High Vaultage label - long time defunct.

Update: I just heard from Rich Pelletier and a HELLHOUND / RAPID FIRE double cd set is in the works and will be out on Stormspell Records in the near future!

I dont know yet. I was told there are live videos of some unreleased stuff. I'd rather use those if possible, than instrumental tracks only.

Alright, a small update to let everyone know the Hellhound/RapidFire project is put on temporary hold. The band will try to finish the instrumental RapidFire tracks they have in their archives and if that happens we will be releasing a full-length stand-alone RapidFire album!
