official DWARR Myspace page

Post by xr2m »

Hello, all -

Me and metalmartyrdoom from this board have recently been in touch with Duane Warr of DWARR about his musical offerings, and he's been really excited about getting an official website up for Dwarr info, merchandise, etc. As a result, I've recently put up an official Myspace site for Dwarr. It's extremely sparse at the moment, but Duane is sending more info, pics, and anecdotes regarding the recording of the albums. If any of you are on Myspace, go ahead and add the page and spread the word!

http://www.myspace.com/dwarrofficial

Also, there are apparently some Dwarr videos! I'll do my best to get a hold of them from Duane and get them online. Thanks!

Fantastic news! Think he'd be interested in doing an interview for The Corroseum? This is the kind of news that really boosts my energy on that subject :D

Edit: post #2000 dedicated to The Mighty DWARR!!

Congrats on post #2000, DaN. Yes, an interview should be done. Hope he will agree to answer the questions. I may contribute some questions too, though I have to figure out what I'm mostly interested in first.

Congrats to you too, xr2m. Simple but great idea to make a myspaceport.

Just added it to Pedo's myspace. It does not exactly fits my band's style, but fuck it. If I love it, Pedo loves it and fuck the rest.
Also added it to my 'zine myspace. Total support to Mr. Dwarr.

I think he would do an interview for the website. He recently said that he'd like to clear up some of the rumors about the band and get some more factual information out there.

Just set you a PM with some additional info.

The songs from the other albums sound great(I only heard Animals). If that site ever comes alive I'll have to order some.

And someone should get the Metal Archives page updated. Genre: Doom/Heavy Metal hardly covers Dwarr's sound, and only two of their albums are on it.

Anyone with an Archives account can submit corrected/new information for the mods to change you know.

It only takes a minute or two to register.

Yes, but I don't have all the album info, no band pics and users can't change genre's (don't know what to make of it since I don't own the albums) either.

That makes sense, but like I said, you can report a mistake and have a mod change the information that as a user you aren't able to such as the ganre.

I took it upon myself to do this for Zions Abyss for example.

It used to be Thrash if you can believe that.

Hahaha...

Well, I updated the Dwarr page to include the last two albums, but I can't update anything else due to the stupid point system Metal Archives uses. For example, I was in a black metal band in the mid 90s, and I can't even update any of the incorrect info on our page... not that I really care that much, though. :)

Can anyone point me in the direction to acquire these albums? Anyone got sealed copies for sale, or is this just wishful thinking these days? :?

Duane doesn't have any original copies of the first two LPs for sale, but he does have CDs and other merchandise, such as t-shirts. I'm waiting for him to put a list of everything together, and then I'll put merchandise and ordering info up on the Myspace site.
