Anyone like this one? There are maaaaybe 3 passable songs, in my opinion, very lite rock for the remainder, and not well-crafted enough to get away with it.

It's been ages since I heard it, but I never cared for it. Really, most of their MCA material is average at best; good musicians wasted on mediocre music.
Prof, have you heard their Friday Rock Show Sessions album? Excellent sound quality and great performances, but it's mostly 'borrowed time' era material, so the song selection isn't top-notch

Yes, and I think it's excellent, pretty much the whole thing. The "Sweet and Innocent" there is probably my favorite version of that one. They're a bit out of tune for the Reading Fest tracks, as I recall, but that version of "Sucking My Love" really delivers quite a kick at the end! I think that was a single. It's also a bonus track on the new CD edition of Canterbury

Canterbury is actually their third LP, released in 1983.
But they've released a handful more since then...
Death and Progress (1993) (Tatler, Harris, others)
All Will Be Revealed (2004) (Tatler plus others)
What's In Your Head (2006) (again, Tatler plus others)
Of those, I've only heard Death and Progress, and it's nothing special, for its own time or any other. I keep it around though. The others I'll get to eventually.

I am not a fan of Diamond Head in the least.
I have had the unfortunate pleasure of seeing them live on three occasions. Each time it has been dire. The last time was at the NWOBHM 25th Anniversary Bash in London in 2005. They headlined. I left before the end as I could not take it anymore. My teeth are starting to hurt just thinking about it.

Actually, that one was from last year and I quite liked it. Often sounds more heavy rock than metal but if you don't compare it with the old Lightning To The Nations Diamond Head you might actually enjoy it.
I also have their live album from 2006 with the new singer and he does the old songs justice. Great performances!

I thought they were quite good at KIT last year, but then I like that kind of 70s hard rock. Not much metal in it.
I actually like Canterbury too. I feel that the material is overall pretty strong and though the metal-content is pretty close to zero, I'd have to say I prefer it to Borrowed Time. It's nowhere near the first album though.

I rarely get to listen to this lp, since there's some fucked up scratches on it... *sigh* Which, mind you, was on the record when I bought it.
