Tempest (Germany)

I guess some time ago I promised to DaN to upload all the Tempest (with the great Incomprehensible Conduct 12") demo tapes. I forgot about it, anyway I had them on a cd-r already, but I cannot find the damn thing, which irritates me to no end since I am very organized. So now I had to re-rip everything. not fun.

I took a quick look at M-A while I was doing this, and of course no real mention of these demos, though there is a mention of a cd called "Heavy Metal", anyone have that? I wonder what it is, I've not seen it before.
Also NONE of these demos have a date printed on them so I'll leave it up to you to decide when they were released.

well Here is 1 demo:
"The Voice Inside" Germany
1. The Winner
2. Dark Side Of The Road
3. Warmaker
4. The Voice Inside

and the 2 tracks from the "The Best Of German Metal Newcomer compilation, which never came with a cover and is a quite rare record, maybe only 100-200 copies pressed, typical for D&S releases.
1. Get Your Motivation
2. Two Sides Of War

Rob: I'll bloody well have to name my firstborn after you by now...

The TEMPEST 12" is one of the greatest, most original European Metal Treasures ever made and I've been dying to hear more material by this band for years. I'll finally get a proper broadband connection again next week so proper feedback will follow.

Btw, didn't you run into these guys at WOA some years ago? Wish I'd been there to do the "I'm-not-worthy", down-on-my-knees worship routine..

TEMPEST demos on heavy rotation now. What to say else than state the obvious: TEMPEST were one of Germany's most underrated bands ever. Simply genious songwriting - clever & original without being pretentious - how rare! This is a prime example of the kind of magic, X-factor vibes you'll only find in obscure, forgotten 80's acts that the "retro" bands of today will never be able to recreate.

I'll have to track down these guys for an interview once I get my shit together...

they have a new band called Seducer:

and they sell the Tempest cd 'Heavy metal", though I am still trying to find out what is on this cd.

I don't think anyone in the band speaks english, so DaN, how is your German???

This is one of those bands that make you almost feel sorry for people who don't bother with exploring ze obscure metal of olde. Talented and original band with a good ear for melodies too. I'm enjoying the song "Control The World" atm.
