These guys REALLY liked 'Into the Everflow' (not 'A Social Grace' so much, strangely!) as far as I can tell. Seems like a good album, dunno about substance, that'll take a while

I have to disagree. The never capture the atmosphere of any of Psychotic Waltz's albums, especially the spacey blur of "Into the everflow". Needless to comment the vocals...The guitars MAY have a slight PW touch at some points, but comparing the whole album with PW really goes too far...

I never said they capture the atmosphere, I am saying they are trying. It's very clear they love the band lots, and at some songs (especially the opener) on a structural level you can see they're trying to do their own version of '...And the Devil Cried' (with the feel of 'Into the Everflow'... as I said, weird!).

A Social Grace especially is in my top10 so I know it a bit on the DNA level, I can spot the influence a mile away. For example, I'm pretty certain Nevermore's 'Politics of Ecstasy' has a hefty PW influence, which isn't apparent when you first listen to it.

I can compare the album with PW then, but I wouldn't say it stands up to them. It'll take a lot more listens than two to tell if this is an album with long-lasting merit!

Saw this band live back in 1996.They played in Lithuania once.Great band!!!
