Why oh why does every single band, that I'm looking forward to see, cancel.

Candlemass last year, Agent Steel with Cyriis this year. I'll bet that that vulcano will burst again on the 20th of april too.

On the other hand, that'll give me more time for boozing

I can tell you that besides the vulcano stuff this was the most insane week for me at KIT ever...I am sorry I cannot publish these demands due to legal causes, but believe me it was hilarious..

I can't wait until you eventually publish your "tell all" autobiography, Oli. I'm sure it will have some interesting stories.

Still, even without the 'real' Agent Steel, it's the best line-up the fest has ever had I think. Can't wait.

I knew this was coming. On the '70000 Tons Of Metal'-cruise Juan announced that Rick would be the new full-time singer (although that's not the case, reading his statement now). It was in Aardschok-magazine earlier this week. So I guess John was out of the band even before the cruise.

Still looking forward to seeing them with Rick though!

Yeah, even without Cyriis this is the most insane line-up EVER! Great job Olli! I'm so jealous I cannot make it, ...again

Juan Garcia never announced Mythiasin as a member of Agent Steel. There were rumors of him joining during and after the cruise. As I was doing a piece on Agent Steel for Sweden Rock Magazine I contacted Juan about this the day after the cruise. He said Mythiasin probably had a beer or two too many and started telling people he was the new singer of Agent Steel, but Juan's final say was "at this poing John Cyriis is the singer of the band, period".

The thing is nobody can ever bring another singer into Agent Steel without John Cyriis's consent. He owns the band name. The future of Agent Steel is probably hanging on an incredibly thin thread. All the albums and tours with Bruce Hall singing happened with Cyriis's good memory, but from what I understand he will not allow such a thing again.

Myself, I'm disappointed Cyriis won't be at KIT of course, but I'll surely watch and enjoy the "masters of metal" set and the rest of the bill is still incredible.

That kind of rumour can pop up very easily though. Mythiasin might have said something along the lines of "I'm going to sing with Agent Steel" which quite quickly becomes "I'm the new singer of Agent Steel". Not quite the same thing, but quite close.

I'm really looking forward to KIT. Mythiasin is a very good singer and should do very well fronting Agent Steel in April.

I can only quote Aardschok. But I guess your story is closer to the truth, as you've spoken to Juan personally.

Is anyone going down from Sweden/Finland/Norway by car and has an extra seat?

I can get tickets but no ride.

Me and my brother will probably drive down from Sundsvall. If you have two extra beds in Huskvarna (and are well-mannered), we may have a spare seat...
