IF i was ready to spend that kind of money for a demo tape, i would AT LEAST expect it to have a printed cover. Not a pissed piece of paper with some ugly hand written red letters on it. Not to mention that the quality of the tape is very very questionable. Well, i guess the moto "some people have more money than sense" fits like a glove once again.... Crazy, man, just crazy...

It's not a demo tape.ION BRITTON wrote:[IF i was ready to spend that kind of money for a demo tape, i would AT LEAST expect it to have a printed cover. It's a live recording.
And the big money for this one, is not as much for the tape itself as for the music on the tape!

OK, demo, live, whatever. I understand that the music included has great historical value, however 300+ GBP are way too much for me. And as i've said a) The quality of the recording is questionable. How many people besides the seller have heard it so they can tell? The tape quality is also questionable. It might be at a decent level, but the tape looks quite shitty and it's been 30 years since it was recorded. Even the best tapes show signs of loss of quality after all that time. b) no printed cover, big minus as far as i'm concerned. Again, even that cover looks in quite bad condition, something tells me that this tape hasn't been treated very well all these years, at least the way it should have been treated considering the importance of the music in it.snaps666 wrote:It's not a demo tape.ION BRITTON wrote:[IF i was ready to spend that kind of money for a demo tape, i would AT LEAST expect it to have a printed cover. It might be the only source of this recording that ever existed, but i can't understand the fact that some people are willing to pay so much for it. The whole package doesn't deserve that money. I'm also wondering if the seller put on an auction some mp3s of this tape, how much would people pay for them? in that case also mp3s would be the only source of this recording available. and, yes, mp3s with that shitty tape make no difference to me.
Anyway, i won't tell anyone what to do or not. if one would like to sell his house in order to obtain that tape, he can do it, no problem with me at all. IMO, spending so much for that tape is insane. again, i'm talking according to my financial standards, 320 GBP might be an insignificant amount of money for some others, for me not though.
