Anticipating ... if he doesn't close it early :P

And again with the 'only -random low number- copies' bullshit
is this the original? matrix looks 2000-boot-ish....
That issue is the same as mine, which I had 2 of and found in a 2nd hand cd shop in Tucson. Sealed! They had been on the shelf for over 6 years according to the pricing stickers when I found them about 10 years ago...

The pressing numbers are legit as I spoke with guitarist Ray Wheeler and he confirmed 250 cd's and 250 cassette pressings.

Not my auction or any affiliation, just saying.

Band members often say a lot of bullshits, don't believe anything they say...

I know cds pressed in 2000 or even 3000 copies* and you see these less often around (auction websites, trade/sell lists, personal collections, etc.) than Innerfear... how do you explain it ? :)

Maybe somebody is just making low numbers on purpose to sell deadstock at higher prices, trying to hype it ? Hoping to make this a "myth" ? "Oh right, that cd pressed in 100 ... 200 ... 250 copies", surely it sounds more attractive than knowing that thousands of copies are around ;)

*I totally believe a band member when he says these relatively "high" numbers plus he can even sell you copies for cheap !

I have to agree here. All times when i asked band members about specific info as quantity of pressed copies, technical details, original release dates etc. i got no answer at all or at best their vague guesses. Let's see what guys from Dark Angel will answer about those mythic "We Have Arrived" pressing

The same old story about "Only 500 were pressed" i think we have with this mCD:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/CAUSTIC-EP-CAUS ... 1289391805
Personally i don't believe in this. There were no information about limited pressing in Internet until owner of MMP records realized that Caustic "Malicious" CD is very rare and popular, sold his copy for crazy price and started to sell this mCD. I am almost sure it's classic example of speculation on rarity, limited editions and thrash metal as genre

Also pops up in mind fables with CDs: Detente on PK, Amulance "Feel The Pain" on NRR and others. 500 copies of each??? Oh, come on, in that case they should be the same re-sold copies circulating in small collectors world

There are 2 options. The most possible is this about the "500 copies" story but sometimes Americans say that they sold 3,000 or 5,000 copies (!) in a try of show off about how "great" and popular was their band...

When they don't have copies to sell for cheap that's likely too...

Not sure how many people saw this auction but... many copies lately around -> price down http://www.ebay.de/itm/Incursion-Dement ... 1335494359

Can't be considered a bargain, right ? But sure, it's lower than usual price (sometimes it's been about 200$).

What about these two, cdr boots sold for 120$, good :) ?

I don't know, everyone has an opinion and a right to believe what they believe, but when I met the man and sat and chatted a bit, he wasn't attempting to "sell" his disc, as a matter of fact he was wishing to get my copy (s) of the disc as he didn't even have one (and he was taken a bit aback that anyone even 1) knew of the band or 2) cared.). So there was certainly no hard sell to get me to buy an overpriced copy. Just 2 guys sitting about in the AZ sun chatting about music, etc... He even gave me a copy of his new bands disc (at the time) Level XIII...
I guess the point being, Ray did not come across as someone attempting any forms of bullshitting, just sharing a bit of his musical history.

this train of thought/topic leads one to think if there is ever any REAL way of verifying press/print runs?

Are we talking of the same Innerfear guy (guitarist ?) who attempted multiple times to sell his "last copy" (he always has a 'last copy', strange...) for insane prices ? Sometimes he has listed it for 700$ on musicstack... if it's the same person, then maybe he was trying to get your copy just to resell it ;)

Could be? Like I said that wasn't the vibe I got at the time, but people can turn with the thought of making a bit of money. Maybe over the years and courtesy of the ole innerweb Ray has dollar signs in his eyes?

Sure, somebody offered good price in private. We'll see where it might pop up for insane "buy it now" price
