The only good French band imho (& superb of course) were Sortilege so I'm not the best guy to speak about Medusa loosers.
Sykosis is very good imho, I slightly prefer their demo tape as it was closer to my style. Check metallum I have added the band back then & then check them on myspace (1st link).

I can't understand this craziness... James gets most of those obscurities from Europe for peanuts!
If you look hard enough you'll find them for less than half the price the sell for!

Well you are certainly entitled to your opinion. But to hear someone say that there is only one good French metal band is a bit surprising.
And I have no problem, I don't care if its Euro metal, US metal, wherever as long as its good I'll listen to it.

I like also Jumper Lace and a couple of songs from ADX (lol) ... we are not talking about french death metal bands, right ? Because there are a LOT I like (Loudblast in spite of all, or the amazing Scarve "Irradiant" album for example).
And ok I listen to a lot of female fronted bands too from the beloved frogs-eaters
