Show me your pants. There is another that I only know 2 copies of...Who owns it? Send pics and info...
the METAL MERCHANT LP from Texas. Anyone in here owning it?

Image

Probably the second WARZWOLF concerning rarity. Musicalyl seen I think quite average?

And the one I will need another ten years to own a copy :-( (this pic is stolen from Popsike and rattlehead14's auctions...)

Peter, those are some sexy pictures. I didn't get on the conversation yesterday, I was too busy drinking too many homebrews.

I know of 1 copy of Warzwolf in a collection here in the US, unfortunately not mine. I held it in my hands but it had already sold to this guy, I was just seeing it before it went in the box and in the mail. At the time it was completely unknown to me and I of course knew of Milita/Paradoxx, etc by then. Maybe Cranford has one and it will come on ebay, not sure.

that Metal Merchants according to Mr. Haupt is not so good, but I never heard it or seen another than this copy Jim sold. There must be more copies in Texas somewhere.

Great to see another Excalibur, I wanted that one for a long time until I finally heard it and hated it, so it became less of a high priority.

Hah, funny when you think about it. 'Normal' people don't understand how I can spend so much money on a record and think I'm crazy. Then above me there are the bigger players searching for the top rarities. And above that segment you have the top players searching for the ultrararities. My parents should meet doomedplanet of fils du metal so they can put my behaviour in the right perspective

Whatever man... some chicks spend hundreds of dollars on pairs of pants that they'll be throwing in the garbage in a year. Heavy metal is timeless!

Incredible pictures, thank you very much for sharing them! It's a pleasure just to see pictures of stuff like that.

Regarding the Avatar 7" on yellow vinyl, Steve Wacholz (i.e., their drummer) once told me that, out of the 1000 copies of the EP pressed 20 were done on yellow vinyl, with some copies being speckled (yellow+black mixed). I *think* he told glockose 10 copies were done on yellow vinyl, so 10-20 were made (apologies if I'm misquoting glockose's old post about this).
Regardless, there are at least 4-5 copies now in collectors' hands, and I think more than 5 are accounted for. About 10 years ago I knew where 4-5 of them were, but some copies have traded hands in recent years, so I don't know whether the same 4-5 copies are being bought and sold or whether a few other copies have entered the market. Probably some are being re-sold and a couple more have cropped up, but I can't prove that.

Regarding John's question: I can't think of any, but y'all are out of my league at this point. The Far East is a 7" single, not a 12" EP, correct? I don't know how rare it is anyway, but I always wanted to hear it. I used to live close to where it was recorded but I never came across a copy, or even anyone who remembered the band/record.

Yes the Far East is a 7"
Thats why I didn't ask for 7"'s as there are over 100 that are UNKNOWN at this point. But for 12" I dont think there are that many, I am sure I am missing some and I know I few more that I will add tonight. Really want to see what Peter/Doomed Planet/ MassOfKthulu think

there are some LPs that i remember being mentioned in lists and then i was told they do NOT exist and were randomly made up by sellers to boost sales!
a notorious example is mr P mentioning some 'Devil's Backbone' LP in his lists
Tyrus is a test right? is Thynn Ice a test? does Zaxas count? has anyone seen the EP Taist of Iron are supposed to have put out?
I am so true my mp3 player's screen has slight ringwear

Tyrus - Should be test only
Thynn Ice - same thing (I THINK)
Zaxas - This would count I think - I only kow of 4-5 copies
Taist of Iron - I am pretty sure this never came out on Vinyl

Hadn't Roman from metalpage scored a copy of Tyrus? I think it was discussed here before and it must be a test press. Same thing goes probably with that Thynn Ice LP.

Yes, pics make fun in moment, don't know why, more to come.
For the discussion: I could add some names of records but only one is US metal all others are European metal or Japanese metal so they don't count.
