I don't know the 7" but the complete CD did get extremely good reviews in german Metal Magazines.
I like it too ! It's a bit a strange one. A hard rockish Mercyful Fate with sugarsweet melodies from the vocalist. I think that the melodies are making his success !
I don't know. There popped a 7"EP out of nowhere and shortly later everybody went apeshit. I never checked them out, I'm pretty sure it's not my thing anyway and I hate the gimmicky image (sorta Devils Blood I guess though some claim it totally isn't).
GHOST seems to be the flavor of the month. They have a gimmick where the singer dresses up like an evil priest or bishop or something with face paint and all- I think that's where the Mercyful Fate comparisons are coming from (sad but true). Talk about a weak-ass gimmick; Seems to be working though
Listened to the 7" and wouldn't have paid 5 cents for it. The fact that it's getting hailed as everything from Mercyful Fate to Swedish Doom to Devils Blood-like occult rock is probably a good clue that people have no fucking clue what they're talking about
Big Pass.

They have some riffing that sounds kinda like MF but then the vocals come along
Still, it sounds like 90s King Diamond filler tracks without the King's vocals for me, so pretty much worthless. I'm surprised to see some old Metal fans loving this when if the exactly same music was released without the gimmick I doubt they would've checked them out.
