I might sound repetitive, but i'll never understand why people keep on searching the original Graven Image EP since there is a killer reissue around, at 1/100 of the original's price...

Thats the reason Im not completely dying to get it. It would be great to have an original and having a copy on vinyl would be awesome (a good condition copy probably sounds better then the CD), but with the reissue around I wouldnt spend that much money on it (unless I suddenly became completely loaded and had more money then I has uses for :D )

Id much rather use my money on stuff that was never reissued or never will be reissued (or stuff where the original is a million times better looking/sounding then the reissue).

You could always buy this...

It looks cheap and ugly but the music is what counts

I personally like "No Rest" (the A-side) A LOT better then Warn The Childen, although I think theyre both amazing! I think this record is amazing, but if I never somehow strike it rich Ill probably never own one.

If I won the lotto right now Okilee Dokilee wouldnt stand a chance! :D
Yeah, I totally agree, No Rest (for the Wicked) is one of my favorite heavy metal songs of all times, and Warn the Children is superb as well!!

Maybe some of you know Remo from Switzerland, he has 2 copies, one on the wall and the other for listening :D
FUCK! How'd he manage that? Hahahaha....

I just got the vinyl-reissue on ebay for 18,- plus shipping. rarity counts (not very much for me, though  ) but this is really an example where the reissue beats the 2 songs/ one-sided original by lengths (in my, not very diehard-collector-like opinion at least..)

If I'm not mistaken the first one on the left is 12" from 1984, followed by 1987 PIC, and the last one is a People in Hell test-press from 1984, according to Rob Griffin one of two ever pressed.

Wow...

I don't know...

I've never understood people that have fascinations with one specific band.

Hey, if I had the money, I would do the same.

Hell, keeping my collection in great shape isn't even a matter of money in most cases, but rather that of time.

Not enough of either, I think.

I don't think that the owner is a billionaire or something, but he's a 110% metalhead and when I met him at KIT last year he said that Graven Image are his favorite band ... he even ordered about 40 compilation CDs, made a cool booklet (as it originally comes only with 1 sided insert), and gave them all away for free, same with a killer t-shirt (on front logo + People in hell want ice water, but ... and on the back ... metalheads in hell want Graven Image!), unfortunately I was too late to get it ...
