Thanks. I actually like that one more than the original. Maybe it's because of the russian vocals, perhaps it's because the original is from my least favourite Manowar album...

I like when a cover brings something new, so it's easier when a band cover a song from another genre, like this:

I just remembered a cool cover, back in 2006 while i was still playing with my former band, i had the luck to share stage in Puerto Rico along with
Deadly Blessing, which btw, was Ski´s last show with the band
...well they played a Lizzy Borden cover

Excellent!
Ski is one of the most characteristic singers along with Cyriis and Mike Soliz.. True high pitch style of singing!
Finally, I don't know if you have referred to US metallers Temple of Blood, who in their "Prepare for the Judgement" cooperate with Ski and pay a tribute to the mighty Deadly Blessing by playing the anthem "Deliver Us from Evil".

+1 for the Temple of Blood cover...love their version, esp with Ski still killing on the vocals...
ToB did a cover on their second album as well..."Forbidden Evil" from Forbidden...

And while we're on Christian bands (some of these may be a stretch in terms of covering stuff by other bands)...
- Believer covered "Like a Song" (U2)
- Stryper covered "Winter Wonderland" (holiday standard)
- Stryper covered "Shooting Star" (let us not speak of it, please)
- Tourniquet covered "The Tempter" from Trouble
- Tourniquet covered "Messiah" from Bloodgood (sung by Les from Bloodgood)
- Theocracy covers various standards as a Christmas tradition (my favorite is "O Come Emmanuel")
- Treasure Seeker did a whole album of covers of stuff by Saint etc.

I've always had a soft spot for Sweet's "Set me free" as it was covered by Heathen. Although i know it was not a difficult task, since the original is a great song.
