First LP is death/thrash/crust, but mainly thrash I would say. Yes, it's embryonical DM record, but still heavilly in thrash realm.
I find UK thrash interesting although it's no way legendary. I think it was more a crossover movement there than a certain and strictly defined metal style as it was in US.
Keep in mind that UK gave a starting points to thrash: old VENOM and old DISCHARGE records.
Basically, better UK thrash was coming either from the more aggressive part of (post) NWOBHM (VENOM, SATAN, AVENGER, SABBAT, WARFARE) or from (anarcho) punk scene which went metal (ONSLAUGHT, SACRILEGE, HELLBASTARD, ENGLISH DOGS, CONCRETE SOX). Bands under a direct US thrash influence were usually just average (like XENTRIX) or horrible (like REANIMATOR and ACID REIGN).
There are some more obscure bands which are in the league of it's own: DEATHWISH, WOLFPACK, VIRUS (I like Pray For War a lot! Total Discharge meets Sodom rawness!)
