Oh, didnät see that one coming, thanks for the info!
Anyway, Tales of Medusa seems like a interesting band for sure! Mercyful fate-influences etc I have heard?
And Dark Age influences. (In music not just in the name.)

I just realized one thing... funny I did not think of it to begin with ... we are talking about a
rehearsal tape here. Not an album, a recording of the bands rehearsal. Who cares if a rehearsal tape was printed in 50, 5, 100 or 1000 copies? Most rehearsal tapes are never printed at all. I guess the songs on the tape are considered for inclusion on their next album. Hopefully they can afford to print a larger quantity of the album, we'll see.
I am going to take Iordan's offer now. Rehearsal tapes are meant to be traded.

No, you heard the song "Tales Of Medusa" by Dark Age! Yeah Dark Age rules, you can get the vinyl for a few bucks...
About ToM, I like them a lot, especially the "Polydectes" demo. I am sad I do not get their demos anymore. I was the 2nd person, who contacted them for the "Polydectes" demo (2nd demo), and weeks later they told me, they still have 8 of the 10 copies left and noone did contact them, so I informed various people from various countries about the band in order to spread that demo as wide as possible. Also, I did open various threads in forums (also on Corroseum) about them to make promotion....Still, I do not blame the band as they gifted me 2 demos, one 7" and a shirt and I can understand the bands view to send their material to different people, who haven`t listened to them yet.

Ok I wrote the band again last week, still no reply. I don't see any reason I should stop assuming these guys decide who is worthy, what other reason for not replying? Why did they reply to the other that wrote recently? It couldn't possibly be that they have seen what I've written on some forums and think I'm an asshole could it. Let's have some statistics on who's received replies lately, this whole thing pretty much reeks, if they want some personal contact, well I'm writing, why aren't they replying, why are they purporting to be something they are not.
And funny how BM guys get called idiots for doing what ToM are doing with limited releases while ToM are suddenly conducting eye-opening experiments...

I think I've given them a few chances to prove me wrong.

Write to them with another e-mail address and don't give away who you are, and see what they do.

Nah, why should I be dishonest, most of my criticism is based on the fact that they say they want things to be more personal yet I haven't received a reply in 1.5 years of trying - how's that for keeping the underground spirit alive. And it seems no one is interested in this thread anymore, why bring up points if you're not going to elaborate on them when people try get into a discussion?
I do so look forward to ToM further exposing shit in the underground!

I bought my TOM 7" about 1,5 year ago from Hellride store, after that I got interested in them and googled their email (which I found from here) and then emailed them and asked if they have any other releases for sale. They told me about upcoming LP and asked my address. I gave it to them, asked how to pay for it and never got any reply. Nothing since, no emails, no releases.

Thanks for enlightening the situation further more. If posts like this appeared somehow earlier, the discussion probably wouldn't have been so long.

No, I got the LP but nothing since. No emails were replied after they asked for my address and I tried to ask how to pay for it.

The tape is killer, but I don't find it to be actually better than the 'Into the Undergloom' tape. Pretty much on the same level. I'm very looking forward to their next LP. I hope I get it!

I am eager to hear them, but i don't think that is right for a band to have the cult status as a target.Cult status should be seen as a result of many negative factors that prevent a band and not a will force of a band. And how can they know how many people are worthy to hear their music?I am sure that there are much more people "worthy" and not only 50-100 as they think.I am pissed off because that reminds me someone hear in Thessaloniki, north Greece who believes in elitism in metal without admitting it
