We certainly had a good time although I think that the first day would be very different if CANDLEMASS played. Personally I think that the previous KIT was a bit better, but considering all the problems everyone had to face I'm quite satisfied with this one too.
WATCHTOWER were fucking amazing, the best band of the festival for me. Really intense show with Alan Tecchio being in great shape.
The old tracks of SATAN'S HOST were killer although some parts were a bit more black metallic than on the album. I wasn't impressed much by their new tracks, it seemed like The Tyrant singing on a Norwegian black metal band- interesting, but not my style. I loved the VENOM-ic way they played the title track from Metal From Hell.
FIFTH ANGEL were much better than expected, great performances by all members, I still doubt whether Ted Pilot would sing as well as the Heir Apparent dude did.
ANACRUSIS were great, I only like their first album, but I think it's time for me to revisit the rest of them as well.
ADX were great on their fast tracks, not so great on their slower material.
KALAPACS was disappointing for me, not because of the selection of tracks, the nerve and the power was missing.
SAVAGE GRACE begun better than their show in UTH fest in Greece, but then Logue started to have problems with his voice. Enjoyable, nothing to die for though.
Didn't see the whole OMEN show, from what I saw I thought they were average. G.Call is making a great effort, but I think Kenny Powell has totally lost it these days.
MORTICIAN were good and definitely better than UTH.
Didn't see much of the rest of the bands, but most people told me that TOPT kicked ass too.

Cheers to all the corroseum fellas that were there, nice meeting you all again!

That's pretty much my impression as well and don't forget WARRANT, they also ruled big time, very impressive. Saturday was much better with WARRANT, DEMON, ADX and FIFTH ANGEL as a worthy headliner. The tribute show to CRIMSON GLORY/Midnight didn't quite fit in, people weren't really in the right mood to mourn about someone who died one year ago, but okay, still a mighty, mighty weekend, thanks to Oli and his team.

I've only meet DaN and Kyr from the non-German corro-folks, greetings to them as well, glad that you made it there.

I wish that all the bands that choose to play at KIT or anywhere else would see / hear Anacrusis - that's how it's made!! It's amazing that they sound exactly the same as they did on the albums - for me by far the best band at KIT 13.

ADX were killer too, but the rest was not exactly up to my expectations ...

Omen and Savage Grace both had material for like 75% of their show, and the rest was boring Manowar talk syndrom. At least some of the Savage Grace material sounded really great, while Omen were average at best.

Satan's Host - MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT!! What the fuck was that??? OK, perhaps my expectations were too high when I expected Metal from Hell from a to z and in the same old school sound ...

Do you maybe know who was meant to be the singers for Crimson Glory tribute? One German friend even mentioned that Sanctuary was intially meant to be the surprise act?!?

Anyhow, it was a good KIT nevertheless, congrats to Oliver & team for making it happen again!

Well I don't think that it was about mourning or anything, personally I was ready to sing the tracks, but things turned out really embarassing for the audience and the band with Vescera not being able to sing even the choruses and just making some random screams, it just didn't work, we basically heard two instrumentals and Lonely with The Tyrant who was amazing although not so faithful to the original. I respect the effort but the result as a whole was not that good unfortunately.

Not very likely, there were many rumors, from WITCHFINDER GENERAL to a CARNIVORE/Pete Steele-tribute, haha.

This year's Keep it true was fantastic again and much better that we feared to be due to volcano thing.
I will agree with what John said about the bands.Except of course for Kalapacs who for me played and excelent show with the "air" of a big band as are used to Hungary.
I regret not seeing Anacrusis and Ram (which i had seen them in the past) but in a long festival like this, we have to rest a little also. hhehe
Hail to all the metal friends that made it there.
See u in next festival ,hopefully in Headbanger's open air.

Well, back on track and it was a very great weekend again.

For me the best band was SATAN'S HOST; honestly, I think it was one of the best bands I ever seen and I've seen 100000000 bands. The songs were just pure madness and I can understand why 90% doesn't like it because it's totally inaccessible stuff. I was in a complete trance during that show; devastating madness from beyond; obliterating everything in its path. Other bands were great too but nothing compared to Satan's Host. ADX were excellent. I think I'm the only peron who thinks Watchtower and Anacrusis are boring as hell; it's just not my music. Another great surprise were Warrant and Mortician. I also enjoyed Kalapacs very much.
Fifth Angel didn't do it for me; the songs from the debut are great but the rest is not far away from some commercial crap AOR.

A lot of drinking and I've met some great people, Also hails to all Corroseum people I've encountered!!!

Bought already a ticket for next year; Satan, Brocas Helm, Griffin etc!!!!

GREAT weekend. Great people everywhere, and lots of cool concerts.

The absolute highlight for me was Watchtower, anyone got any footage? Pics or video of that show?

Other really good shows for me was Anacrusis, Warrant and Satan's Host. Big surprice for me was Crystal Viper - they did a great job as well.
I was a bit disapointet about Kalapacs, but I had very high expectations anyway - it wasn't a bad show at all, I just hoped for more I guess.

I newer understood the pfand-system with the beers, it seemed very random if you needed to give those green plastic coins or not - but hey, I got drunk anyway so doesn't really matter.

Camping ground was fun and cool - litteraly in the night. DAMN it was cold!

Anyway, I think we'll go again next year. Hopefully by car or something, as it was quite difficult to figure out the German train system

Cool! Please share them when you get the time.

Yeah - the I Kissed a Girl thing was very, very strange! haha - only Watchtower could pull that of.

Another awesome KIT has ended. I had a splendid time as always, meeting & drinking with Corroseum-brethren and other old friends, overspending on records and most of all seeing some killer shows. Top 3:

1. ANACRUSIS!!! A dream come true. You just wouldn’t believe these guys just got back together. This was an A-1 example of how sometimes a reunion show can feel 100% genuine and justified.

2. SATAN’S HOST!! The most schizo experience of the festival. The “Metal From Hell”-material destroyed me. Just hearing the songs with slightly less sucky sound than before was amazing initself. I really dug the “House Of The Rising Sun” cover too but I don’t know about that Norwegian folk song… Conklin’s introduction was awkward to say the least. The new songs with the black/grind-parts also felt wrong, but I got the feeling they could possibly reorganize them into great Metal songs if someone convinced them…

3. OMEN! What to write? Just a perfect headliner, great vocals, great show, most of the songs I wanted to hear and tighter than their last time at KIT.

SAVAGE GRACE – No way you can fail completely with songs like that, but I wasn’t as blown away as I thought I would be. Guess I just couldn’t delude myself into thinking it was the real deal. And the sound was messy.

ADX – I fucking missed the fucking first song coz I’m fucking stupid/deaf and was outside drinking at the time. No “Caligula” for DaNnyBoy  I also realized I should have played their records a few times before going. It’s been a while. Great show nonetheless.

KALAPACS – Seeing the guy trying to get the audience to sing along to the lyrics cracked me up. A great performance still and he seemed to enjoy himself, but where the hell was “Totalis Metal” and “Metal Az Esz”???

RAM – Killer live act as usual and “Suomussalmi (The Few Of Iron)” was one of the highlights of the festival. This band took a huge step forward with the “Lightbringer” album if you ask me.

“SURPRISE ACT” – Oh my… Well, at least they tried and I’m sure the original Crimson Glory-tribute idea could have been great. At least we got to see 1 ACID-song! (or in my case, ½ song..) They should’ve booked VULCAIN instead.

I saw some bits & pieces of other bands, like WARRANT (seen em a few times before and always love em), DEMON (first 3 + last 3 songs = great + all I needed to see), TOPT (Killer gig according to almost everyone I talked to. Kinda regret not catching more than 2-3 songs..)
