Interesting response.
As it goes for me, lyrically i don't care much if they sing for the Lord or if they use "Dark" thematics. I try to stand objective if a band does it good in what it proposes. And there are too many ridiculous examples from both "sides" of the trench. Barren Cross i think it was fantastic Metal in that album/tour.

I only found out afterward as well. The gig was a birthday party run by John Giles of Blackjack and Ross from Ion Drive. The bands that played at the gig were Crackerjack (Blackjack with a different line-up), S.A.S., Bengal Tigers, Ion Drive, and Nothing Sacred. Hobbs' Angel of Death were meant to play after Sacred at around 4am, but got cut off.
