Pretty typical "Scandinavian Melodic HM/HR" in the vein of first Madison, Proud, Sadwings, Blacksmith etc.. Not quite as good as some of those but still not too bad. Kinda.. sort of...Professor Black wrote:How is the music on KEEN HUE "Ogre King"?
I'll echo Dan on this, all of those other bands are better - Proud are great! Decent album, not rare or expensive (around here at least) and therefore worth getting. Never heard the 7" though.DaN wrote:Pretty typical "Scandinavian Melodic HM/HR" in the vein of first Madison, Proud, Sadwings, Blacksmith etc.. Second VOD-link of the day
Edit:
In any case it's nowhere near the class of the killer 7".
Nobody?Levi wrote:Yesterday I found an ultra obscure single from the Belgian band BLACK CITY. It apparantly was recorded in the village next to where I live, which is really funny because that's the last place where you would expect a recording studio. I can't find much information about it, it's more Hard Rock, badly produced with even a saxaphone in one song![]()
Anyway, is there somebody who knows of this single? I guess this is really obscure, but you never know if somebody has some information about the band (the recording studio makes me believe it's from around where I live).
I haven't checked, but I'm sure the CD came first, plus there's no reason to rip from a vinyl anyway since it's a "new" studio recording of old songs.Korgüll wrote:Does anyone know if 'Pagan Altar-Lords Of Hypocrisy' CD is a rip of the vinyl version??
I was listening intently to it on my nice new speakers just now.. & during track 4 around the 6:50-7:10 min mark there is some horrible muffled, distorted sound & crackling that sound like vinyl noise.
Can anyone confirm this??
If you've got the CD, please chuck it on & have a quick listen for me.
I hope my fucking speakers are not damaged
Yeah I know... ...of course. But around that time of the recording the sound is really bad.DaN wrote:there's no reason to rip from a vinyl anyway since it's a "new" studio recording of old songs.
