I remember it being declared legit in the end. Asked the band and they declared it a legit release.

No problem.
Does anybody know how to differentiate the original 1999 japanese pressings of Malice albums from the bootleg ones? Anything to look out for when hunting for those?

The first press of Vacant Grave only CD looks like this
http://cgi.ebay.pl/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... K:MEWNX:IT
but is there a re-release? I got these details of a re-release:
Label: Skull Records
Release year 1991.
Catalogue number: 884502689358
Is it original and really from 1991 ?

If i remember correctly, the purple cover is the 2nd edition.
Label (of the purple cover) is Corrosive records.
First edition was the black cover (with silver lettering).
What more info do you need?

An additional question to the one posted by me above: is the Black Cobra Records CD release of the Recipients Of Death album+EP a bootleg or is it the real thing?

Well, if it's rare and if it's worth anything, but since it's a second pressing, I'm guessing it's neither. Thanks for the help mate

Hm, doesn't look like conclusive evidence to me, but I'll take your info over metal-archives any day. Thanks for the help guys.
I'm asking because it was given to me by a girl 12-13 years ago. She was not a metal head at all, but was given the CD from someone in or close to the band when she was in the states a few years before.

On Musik-Sammler it's all about who's added the information, in this case it is Yetisued (real name Karsten) who has added it and he is a trustworthy source, if he says the green cover exists as CD ... it exists as CD.
