Both albums SLAY. It's funny though that I didn't even get into them right away. At the time I heard them first time I was more focused on different kind of HM and some how the music just went through my ears. Then after some time I revisited their albums and it all worked.
It's very hard to say which one of the albums I like better. Master is a furious, honest and joyful outburst of energy and passion. I can hear how much they enjoy playing this stuff! The Iron Maiden influences are obvious. It sounds like a blend of Maiden's Killers and some classic american metal like earlier RIOT.
ATFfG on the other hand sounds more mature, focused and calculated in a good way. The Maiden influences are still there but more subtle and overall Savage Grace managed to sound more like "themselves" on this one. I'd still probably pick MoD if I really had to choose but I say it again both albums SLAY!
My favourite songs? "Bound To Be Free", "Fear My Way", "Master Of Disguise", "We Came, We Saw, We Conquered", "After The Fall From Grace", "Age Of Innocence".

Laurent, I'd definitely be interested in a feature of Savage Grace in the next Snakepit magazine. You definitely have the best metal magazine out there. I keep going back to issues 14,15,16 I got a couple months ago. Keep up the great work.big mouth wrote:Is anybody would be interested in a huge feature for issue 18 of S.G.?

A Savage Grace feature would be killer. I'll buy Snakepit anyway, but I'll enjoy it even more with SG in there. They deserve all the exposure they can get even though it's 25 years too late.Morbid Tapes wrote:Laurent, go for it, I'd love to read that! Okay ragers, the game is started..... one member for sure, eventually two which would include Chris but I won't say more
Issue 17 is not out yet, I have yet to complete 2 features -one being with SLAYER (Texas) which I promise will be UNBELIEVABLE I tell you..... but I want it that way considering it's SLAYER!

It's hard for me to choose between MoD or AtFfG... maybe "After The Fall.." get's the upper hand because of intensity. 2 perfect albums I never seem to get tired of, and it's remarkable how they managed to blow that "Ze Kult Debut Mini-LP" out of the water with their full-lenghts. You don't see that very often..
