Unfortunately there's no youtube clips for it. Didn't actually know this was even a cover until recently... was quite a surprised to see how many people have covered it!

The Dutch death metal band Eternal Solstice also did a cover of this song. I like the original version a lot.

That's a great song indeed, but I haven't heard Riot's take on it yet. Ramones also covered this one on their FAN-TAS-TIC "Acid Eaters"-album!

I saw Solitude Aeturnus do an amazing cover of The Apparition (Fates Warning) in the 90s. I just wish I could find an audio version of it.

I know Golden Earring, but I hadn't even heard of the original. The song is from an album released in 1991
and not the cover isn't very good. The original is better, but isn't that interesting either.
Oh, and nowhere near anything remotely related to heavy metal.
