Have to agree on this, even Atlantean Kodex seem to suffer a bit from this (in the vocal department). There are exceptions of course: Bach, Beethoven, Hand of Doom and Eloy.

Still exploring all your contributions in random order. I'm gonna be busy for a while hehe !

Latest enjoyment: COVEN "worship new gods", sounds so strange (far from the classic metal standards), and so great ! I think I'm gonna like it a lot.

I do listened a little Deep Switch, but it sounded really HAPPY. Not sure if it's for me.

Anyway I don't want "strange" stuuf but just album with personnality/originality ;)

I already got this album, and yes I can't get enough of that record... Really deserves to stand on the podium with the most known bands.

Some Asian suggestions. Nothing too obscure, just one step beyond Loudness and X-Japan.

Nokemono - From the Black World (has a distinct 70s feel)
Saxo - Satu Perjuangan (speed metal!)
Sniper - Open the Attack (catchy, often overlooked stuff, can't see why they're not as big as Anthem and others)
Sabbrabells - s/t (obvious pick, might be a stretch to call them underrated nowadays)
Dinkumoil - Metal Weld (new release, pretty much the best pure heavy metal from China, but I'd wager it's not for everyone)

This LP is one of my favorite Jap-metal releases. How shameful of me to not mention it!!

Perhaps you just have some of these but here is a list by the mood of the moment:

EXODO - The new babylon (classic traditional metal from Spain)
SARACEN - Heroes, saints and fools (Nwobhm with epic prog elements)
ALKANA - Welcome to my paradise (Heavy rock 70's - great)
LEGEND - From the fjords (Amazing epic heavy rock from 70's)
WINTERHAWK - Revival (Hard rock masterpiece MUST HAVE)
BLACKLIST - The sign of four (Great German band - classic power metal)
GRIFFIN - Flight of the griffin (A classic)
XCEL - Deliver this dream (rare good Lp in Queensryche - Exxplorer style)
SINISTER ANGEL - Same Ep (Heavy from USA)
TYRANT'S REIGN - Year of the tyrants (Speed masterpiece)
TYRANT'S REIGN - Same cd (grab all items of this great band)
HOLY TERROR - Terror and submission (Common item, great and underrated thrash)
HOLY TERROR - Mind wars (As above, more of the same... one of my favourite thrash lp)
May the Lords of light be with you

Thanks to the last suggestions (Vannsinne & Raven)

It's cool, I got enough names to discover one great record each day.

I'm kinda slow therefore eheh. So don't think I ignore your suggestions, you'll get a feedback :D
