I have to give this some serious thought, and due to personal reasons I'm not in the right state of mind to do so at the moment. Seems each of us understands in a different way the term "haunting".
My interpretation is closer to sounds that don't come from my ordinary cups of tea (first that reached my mind), like these :

Well, now the funeral's been taken care of, so things are improving slightly.
As for the thread topic, right now The Erl King by Pagan Altar comes to mind. Mostly because of the lyrics (if you know the original poem by Goethe). And no, it's not a metal song.
