Inspired by a previous post,I was wondering if anyone can help with some information about Pathfinder, the band featured in metal massacre compilation series offering the masterpiece "Fountain Keeper".This is one of the best tracks featured in those series in my opinion, but I'm completely in the dark concerning their activities as a band apart from the song mentioned above.Come share your knowledge with a poor desperate metal addict. :)

Well,I was talking to a couple of band members and they had told me all Anesthesia material that ever existed were 3 tracks,2 of them known and one more(which I'm still begging them to send me but they can't find the tapes). They had trouble finding a good singer and the one they used to record the demo was a session singer,so they disbanded since they wanted to be pure professionals I guess....I hope my efforts won't be to no avail and I'll listen to the third song in the end....

so a session singer?! fukk! a couple of friends that are actually studying music in college told me he has hell of a voice. that is hard to make those weird tones with your voice that he makes so "easily" in the Jihad track, point is he is killer vocalist for sure

Well, if you had read the Compilation Encyclopedia you'd know that the singer was previously in BREAKER and sang on their godly In Days Of Heavy Metal EP.

Some I love that, TMK, never had other releases (if I'm in error, please let me know):

'Norway Rocks' has been mentioned, but my favorite band on there is the amazing Manitou (all the bands on there are good).

Pathfinder was a good call! Always loved that tune

Straight Six contributed 3 classic nwobhm tunes to the 'Southern Comfort Vol 1' album, which is one of those obscure 'local sampler' nwobhm comps. It also has 2 killer tracks by Deuce, but they did eventually record a single.

Tempest Ride gave us one of the best nwobhm tracks on 'The Bridge Album' (another rare local sampler). They did change names and record more material, but it never sounded as good. That comp also features a great track by a band called Rough Cut that I don't know anything about

Blackbird's incredible 'rise' from the 'Double Up' comp

I really like Sadwinder's track on 'Moose Molten Metal'

I also really like Assassin's track on 'No Substitute for Steel'. I've never looked the band up

Did those lost Sorcerer (Cleveland) recordings ever see the light of day? If not, then I guess they count too :)

Sticking with Cleveland, I'm guessing Battery and Roadies Nightmare managed demos at some point...?

Oh, sorry. Can't help you there. If you find anything, please let us know!

That was released as a 7".

No, though Pat Delaney had a solo 7".

I would have loved SBF to have released something more than the two tracks on Från Pop Till Ny Våg. Anyone know about this band - any demos known?

That was only a demo originally, & didn't come out on vinyl until '93.
