I agree about Motorhead, and AC/DC with Brian Johnson, but Bon Scott era AC/DC is classic.

How about Venom? I don't even see how people can like them.

I love both Motorhead and AC/DC, of course the Bon Scott era is pure gold, and with Johnson they have a few cash grabbers, but they're AC/DC, I forgive them.
And about Venom, I like the first 3, Possessed had too much filler IMO. After that they had some good songs on Prime Evil and The Wastelands, but nothing compared to those first 3 records.
Everybody seems to love Tokyo Blade, but I can't even listen to one song by them.

 sure all of their stuff isn't top material but the first three albums slay. Welcome To Hell - what a classic!

I'd have to say i'm not a fan of Ozzy Osbourne , his solo material that is, at all. Except for a few songs, i just cannot get into his stuff. Should have sunk into oblivion after leaving Sabbath, not the friggin Prince of whatever, methinks!

Any credibility he had has long gone. You can thank his blood sucking wife for that

Allright, that's it. We have enough now, call in the torturers and the executioner. Never thought I'd see this on a metal forum.

OK, I'm just as bad myself. Can't really see what Iron Maiden have done after Powerslave that's worth anything at all and the classic status of Kiss is probably responsible for some of my hairloss. Back with more later.
I know I ain't doing much,
doing nothing means a lot to me.

Now that you mention Kiss, i'm also not too fond of some of 70s hard rock bands myself. Kiss, AC/DC, Aerosmith, and the like - sure they're good/decent bands but they're just way too overrated for me!

Oh, man, U2 is one of the worst and overrated bands ever. And their moralist attitude sucks more balls than any televangelist.

I don't see what's great about KISS too. Some good songs, but it's mostly boring commercial Hard-Rock without the subtelty that made other 70's HR bands good.
AEROSMITH were somewhat better. And AC/DC, well, they had the better songs of the three, but I can't stand to listen to it often if I want to avoid being mad. The "same song syndrom" works far better with godly MOTÖRHEAD IMO.
