I wouldn't say that I am sure most are real but I do have my doubts about some. That is why I asked.

as i said here before in another post, my address is on all the old metal releases, i wasn't hiding anything from anyone. anyone who knows me knows i'm a straight up guy. i even said in interviews about the label when one wsn't legit etc, and i hoped the band or label would put out the perfect cd for the world to enjoy properly. i was just into old school metal and wanted to get it out to the masses in a new format that was easily available and not some vinyl on some 'traders list' for a bullshit high rip off price that some guy called a old 'cult' band and bought up all the private press copies for $1 a piece to get 'em out of the guy in the bands garage!

And like the question stated (At the time of release) you had the full rights to these.

008 GRIFFIN-FLIGHT OF THE GRIFFIN CD got rights from the bass player thomas and gave him cd copies in return which is all he wanted! he said varney had taken them for a big rip off contract and was happy to finally see a dollar on his music. he wasn't even given a promo copy of the record when it came out.
009 WILD DOGS-WILD DOGS/MANS BEST FRIEND CD from matt mccourt
who sang on them. he was allowed by their contract to release them in any format he seemed fit. to this day he still presses this!
010 WILD DOGS-REIGN OF TERROR CD enigma is defunct and this now is in public domian i got permission from jeff marks for this one, then he later back peddled and lied and said he didnt get the rights. i later learned he wasnt counting in the other guys for their share of what i gave him to release it! he is a lying piece of shit and i await the day i see him face to face!!!
031 LIEGE LORD-FREEDOMS RISE CD from paul nelson who at the time told me he had rights. we had contract. he didnt even play on it but he said he obtained all rights to all liege lord. later i worled it out with other guys who filled me in that paul was full of shit. i pulled the remaining copies out of respect for the other guys in liege lord!
so you are saying that Dave Richards and Mike Varney gave you the rights to release these?
dave richards never owned rights to liege lord at all! that guy is shady times 1000
mike varney's lawyer and i talked and all was resolved easily as he didnt like old records from bands he worked with in the past having song titles like 'the beast in me' etc as he is now a very religious man and kind of embarrased/ashamed of earlier stuff he put out! i passed tese over to matt as mentioned above out of respect for varneys request!

So at the time of release you didn't have the rights to any of these but worked things out after the fact. That was very good of you.

if varney still owns the rights to wild dogs 'mans best friend' for example all these years later then that contract was a shit on from the get go and the bands and their music was taken for a ride.

Well the question was you provided a list of your release and I asked which were 100% (in the coutr of law) real AT THE TIME OF RELEASE
all this told me was you put out releases you liked and if the band found you you would work it out(very nice) but didn't ansewr the question.

The same with Dave R. they both continue to renew THEIR copy rights to all this stuff they PURCHASED in the 80's form dumb young bands trying to make it big.
i wasn't talking about you or anyone in general. i just find the whole buy up all copies and monopolize it for big bucks a bit against keeping it about the music

dave richards can say what he wants but there's a reason why overkill put a big fuck off to dave richards and they hope he dies of a.i.d.s in their early records. ask jag panzer about him sometime.

as for varney he doesn't or does reelize the band has rights to put out their music too on his early contracts, i had someone check into all that and yes they did have rights to do so. as you know matt still presses all the records he's on onto cd and hates varney!
