I agree with you, but I think it could be one of those grey area debatable bands that created heavy metal riffs first, but being that I don't believe that all this was written and released back then, there's no debate on my end.

Was the other Jacula album really from 1972, or is that a fake also?

I don't think Jacula is metal, but the riffs are a lot more metal than anything I've heard from '70s Sabbath.

Well, about Jacula, yeah, it's hard to believe that a song like "Triumphatus Sad" was recorded in '69, but even if it was recorded in the mid 70's I think is still heavier than almost anything that was around at the time. The riff sounds like Hellhammer, or something like that!

I mentioned the date the album was supposed to be recorded. I didnt assure the album was released in that year. I wrote clearly "if I'm not mistaken". Of course I dont care the year it was released, dates are not so immportant for me since music comes first. I posted the scan of the pics because those exist and the cut of the vinyl looks very 60's/70's.

By the way, nobody said Jacula was Heavy Metal. Some very heavy guitars do not make a whole Heavy metal album.

I emailed Black Widow and Antionio to find out his age... that's all I need to know...not that I'm going to believe their answer, but it will be fun to hear what they say if they ever get back to me with an answer.

The guy is selling the original Lp on his site that's 38 years old and was only pressed in 310 copies back then and he some how has them for sale on his site? You really want me to expect a truthful answer from him?

Listen maybe not anyone on THIS forum is saying it's the first heavy metal album (and I never claimed anyone here thinks that), but I've had people argue anything from BLUE CHEER, JACULA, LED ZEPPELIN, etc to claim they're the first HM band.

Btw... do you think every song on the first BLACK SABBATH album is a Heavy Metal song?

Why do you say that? Plenty of other people that posted in this thread said that Jacula's riffs were heavier than just about anything recorded in the '70s, so do they not know metal either?

Even when that is not impossible, you mentioned the age of the guy selling the stuff at the site, which I supposed it was Antonio's son, but not, it is a mistake. Heres apic of Antonius son and producer. I dont know where you got to know the age of the person selling the stuff at the web site.

Well Mozart wrote his fist opuses at age of 6 yo I think and Quosrthon did wrote the stuff for his first album when he was about 13-14 yo. That cant be impossible anyway
