Ah, Into Darkness, now there is an album that I need to dig out again. Went through a phase of listening to that about 10 times a week at one stage. The heaviness of it!!

O.T. King Diamond - Fatal Portrait

I haven't listen to it since ages and it was a very good re-discovery !

I spent the afternoon listening to some of my fave US démos :

MASADA - Demo 1989 - Witness this Genocide
ZYKLON-B - Demo 1988 - Gorenography
MANIACAL GENOCIDE - Demo 1988 - Too Late for Apologies
REGURGITATION - Demo 1987 - Bathrooms Rule
CALIGULA - Demo 1988 - Technical Aggression
CHALICE - Demo 1986 - One Final Sin
INSECTICIDE - Demo 1987
AFTERMATH (IL) - Demo 1987 - Killing the Future
SADUS - Demo 1986 - Death to Posers
PEDIFILE - Demo 1986 - Die a Violent Death

One of the first US demos I heard through tape trading. Definitely superior to the O.L.D. debut. Pissant!

Never bothered to check this one out because I thought the O.L.D. debut album was crap and the 'humor' simply annoyed me. But I gave Regurgitation a listen now and I think it truly slays. I don't know if it predates Carcass, it sounds quite similar though, with a less chaotic mixing. I'm on the tenth successive listen right now. Braingrinding stuff.
