Also, I think their 90s material deserves a certain respect. They are the only band from the first league of thrash metal bands (think Slayer, Kreator, Metallica etc.) who had kept it at good level with fair and sincere thrashing during that decade.
agent orange ,with persecution mania a close second.also love the first mini LP
i never had a tad of interest for anything else.
i can also discern a certain correspondence between forum members and the albums they chose, pertaining to, and corroborating, ita est solidifying my ab initio auditory expectations of aforementioned members.
(Helming it up)
I am so true my mp3 player's screen has slight ringwear

I'll go for the Steamhammer pressing. Faster, tuned lower, & a mad farty bass solo on "Equinox".

never heard the Metal Blade version.. considering Tom's quote on MA, the recording for Metal Blade was the first (thought it was the other way round ) so the kvltier sound is probably on that one?
Metal Blade got the first recording
now is the madness in hell

agreed... i thought obsessed by cruelty was lacklustre compared to in the sign of evil before i heard the steamhammer version. plus you actually get to hear "after the deluge"
I have the Brazilian LP which is the Steamhammer version, I think the CD I have is the US version but I'm not sure. The CD-R I had for ages must've been the Steamhammer version 'cause it had After The Deluge.
as far as i know, the steamhammer version has never (officially, anyways, not sure about bootlegs) been released on CD. i remember hearing they were planning on doing so around the time they did "the final sign of evil" as well as a legitimate reissue of the demos, but since that was a while ago i can only assume those plans got scrapped
Persecution mania for me. It marked my teenager years pretty much.

So , why is the CD release that I have with In the sign/obsessed have the steamhammer name there and no metal blade? What version is it?
Never got to understand this mix of released very much.
