I saw Blue Max mentioned. To me they sound quite similar to Bang. Anyone into Blue Max who never heard of Bang should check out their S/T debut from 1972. It's been re-issued together with another of their classics Mother, Bow To The King on 1 CD. Great release. Bang have been acknowleged by Cirith Ungol as an influence.

Forgot to mention that the 2nd bonustrack of the Gear Fab re-issue of Limited Edition is a full on crushing heavy metal song. The band broke up in 1978 which makes this track quite ahead of it's time. It's sound more mid 80s than anything else.
