I'm feeling more & more alone in thinking they were great. Seems a lot of people are slagging them. I haven't seen that vid but being there I thought the best part was the fact that it actually sounded a lot like the old recordings. Maybe I was just in the right mood...
No, I liked them a lot too...these videos fake a lot of the real impression..

I liked Angel Witch too, though I can't quite get around the fact I think it's kind of sad and ridiculous how it's all still built around one single album that is nearly 30 years old.

Angel Witch were brilliant at Headbangers- much better than in London recently- and they were great there.
First time I had been, but I was with friends who had been before, and even I could sense the vibe wasn't quite right.
Still: Razor, Manilla Road, Portrait, Enforcer, Angel Witch, Killers, Cloven Hoof, Tyson Dog, Piledriver made it all worthwhile.
The lack of lights/ swamp combination was not great!

Maybe they should organize an olde cult metal quiz where more correct answers = cheaper ticket price!
Angel Witch ruled! Not really sure if they (Kevin) were (was) old and tired as I am just that and was happy to being able to keep up with their (his) pace. It may be sad them only living off those nwobhm-era years of creativety - but you wouldn't want them to omit any of that stuff in order to include songs off "screaming assault" or that rather horrid nineties t(h)rash.
Other highlights for me: Exxplorer and Manilla Road.
Nightshade also was really cool. Rick Pierce played some cool stuff and his hair-do was, along with MR performing Cage of Mirrors, the proto-metal event of the event.

RAZOR were damn intense..played a mix of old shit and "shotgun" era stuff.... Reid sounded great again (like ibn Montreal a couple years ago) on the Sheepdog stuff.... now let's hope next time they will be in Europe it will be with Sheepdog...hehe....

Starting of with saying that the bands I saw absolutely rocked, great line-up this year. How great were Tyson Dog, The Rods, Tank and Razor.. amazing..
I was suprised by how big the whole thing got in a couple of years, we arrived in the early morning after the pre-party, and the (I thought only) camping was already full. WTF, but there was another camping luckily ;p . Still a lot of familiar faces and good fun. Nothing to complain at all for me. the music totally makes up for whatever is not all right there.

How can it be possible to start a set with a better song than 'Take This Torch'?!!! I guess I would have used up all my energy during that haha. Now I regret I wan't there.
