Ta! This is really nice. I like how restrained & non-screechy the vocals sound. Well, until "Starscream" kicks in.

I did some researching online last night and got in touch with someone that knows some of the band members. According to him, the reissue still hasn't happened. I'm going to see if he has contact info for someone in the band, so maybe I can get some more information on the reissue status. I really wish someone would re-release this recording.
Yeah, I found some forum postings with the supposed band contact e-mail for preordering, but hasn't gotten a response so far.

I'd like to re-release it if the band is still interested.

They sound also like Manilla Road ('80-'83) at some times.

I finally listened to this one and it seems to be quite the hidden gem! Northwind and Starscream are standout tracks from the first few listens!

I love them all but Enter Into The Rock needs more recognition!

Thanks a lot. And especially to you xr2m (and Jon who did the original rip (?) ). Don't know how I've missed this before. And a reissue would be very nice indeed. Go Stormspell!

That would be some of the best things to ever happen.

The guy I've been corresponding with supposedly just forwarded my e-mail to one of the members, so I'll definitely let you know if I hear anything from them.

Great! I only heard this through the most recent upload but it's really amazing music. Hope this turns out well (i.e. a vinyl release).

strongly seconded! I heard about them for the first time here on this forum and before asking for the re-upload I also encountered that not fulfilled announcement of the self-rerelease.. so if it came true now that would be awesome, outstanding stuff for sure!

as for crossing bridges that haven't been met yet I'd also favor a vinyl re-issue but if really something emerges with Stormspell it will most probably be CD-only?? 8)

The problem with vinyl only re-issues is that you are severely limiting the number of units that are going to sell, being that in this day and age Compact Disc is by far more popular, economical and convenient then vinyl.

This has also already been pressed on vinyl the first time around...

yeah sure, I'm aware of that. Wouldn't go so far to demand (who am I, anyway  ) "vinyl only", but some re-isssue on both formats to choose from would surely be nice, plus it probably wouldn't limit the amount of potential buyers among 80s-metal interested people.. production costs are another issue, that's granted.
