If anyone's concerned, you can contact ebay & they will give you the sellers address & phone number. See if it really is him?

Yeah it does.... He only lives like a hour or so away from me. I should try to give him a visit.

The new pictures he posted look like its in pretty bad condition. Plus, from whats been posted it sounds like this guy is a really bad liar. Id REALLY like to get a copy of The Sybling, even in this bad condition (it is one of the best EPs ever), but the price is way to expensive for me, and i think its more likely then not that the winning bidder will be ripped off by this guy.

So much talk about getting in contact with this guy in different various ways :P , Maybe we should meet up at his local airport and take a tour bus to his house.

Also notice how a bidder with zero feed back made seven bids in a one 1/2 minute period

Looks like someone is trying to ramp the price up

The whole thing stinks. Will the seller's feedback go to (-1)?

$3000,- for a water damaged cover containing an overrated record. The demo's are much better.

Wow! I’m very surprised it reached 3K with that much damage. There were lots of red flags with this auction but apparently it’s legit. Achee told me he is completely computer illiterate and he had a friend from work post this auction for him. Insane price and a new high for a publicly sold copy I believe.

BTW, I had nothing to do with this auction but stumbled upon it when the seller hotlinked pictures from my website.

German's are a crazy collectors race. Can't complain about that though, just had one paying off my entire debt with his purchase of one black metal record.

In-fucking-sane!
I know that "something is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it" and all that, but really... can this be considered a realistic value for the record? And can the collecting community really support these kinds of prices for very long? Now the next seller to come along is gonna want the same amount for his copy (or more if it's in better condition) but how many collectors are willing and able to pay $3,000+ for a copy of this record? Unless a steady stream of collectors willing to pay these outrageous prices can be maintained over the long term, the values for these records will eventually crash; you'll have sellers demanding the astronomical prices, but you simply won't have any more collectors who can and will pay those prices, so the sellers will have to start asking lower and lower prices if they want to actually sell their wares.
Perhaps I underestimate the number of wealthy collectors out there; 99.99% of metal collectors that I've met over the years are blue-collar at best and would never be capable of paying even a few hundred bucks for one record, much less pay a few thousand. Maybe I just know lots of poor people :?:
I must say it's pretty disheartening to the average collector to see people paying such ridiculous prices for damaged goods. In the current environment of paying $3k for water damaged copies of Militia, what chance does a regular person have of ever owning one? Better get rich or get used to listening to mp3s. My job will never make me rich, so I'm learning to be content with the good ol' ipod :)

I think you should tell those guys to re-release this stuff. $3000+ for a water damaged EP is total madness.
