GLACIER - Demo '88 w/ Tim Lachman
Operation Mindcrime is one of the 5 best albums ever made throughout the history of stereophonic audio recordings. At the end of the day, no obscure metal band in the world deserves to smell Queensrÿches shit.
Operation Mindcrime is also one of the most underrated albums ever, and it will remain so until each and every individual on this planet proclaims it superior to anything they have previously held dear. Which will happen, on judgement day, or else this world is doomed.

I don't hate OM or whatever, but it's not more than 5/10 for me. I remember I first heard the record around 15 years ago at a friends place. I was very curious about it, and did not "intend" to not like it. But it was sooo boring, so I ignored the record for an eternity.
All the praise I heard again here and there led to me buying another copy maybe a year ago, thinking "maybe I wasn't in the right mood, and it's a looooong time ago since I heard it, let's give it another chance".
Well, I bought it, I listend to it, and I found NOTHING interesting in this record, yet again. Boooooooooring

We praise the blood that metal brings

I couldn't first get into Queensryche mainly because of Tate's vocals. I mean I did understand he's a very capable vocalist but it was his voice that I disliked.. No, almost loathed. It sounded very annoying and hypocritical (in some weird way) at the time to me. Nowadays I DO love his voice but just wanted to say I understand people who don't. Then again I HATED Lachman too at first listens.Helm wrote:I like say, Slauter Xstroyes more that Queensryche myself, but this doesn't change that Geoff Tate is a world class singer, and in the top 5 of absolute greatest metal vocalists of all time.
But funny thing is I never had any troubles with Tim Baker or Smash (Solar Eagle's vocalist).
