How about ZVITA FELTNA?

About a week lasting band from my neighbourhood somewhere in 1995 ...

DMR mentioned Bad Religion. This is quite possibly the best band name ever. I like band names with double meanings, such as that, or Cop Shoot Cop.

I generally prefer one-word names. Two words can work or not, three is very risky (At the Gates and Edge of Sanity are mediocre band names at best), and four+ will be unconditionally ignored!

One word is best. Steel, for example, is better than any variation.

Trouble
Omen
Slayer
Jaguar
Exciter

etc. All great names.

Scansion and pronunciation are important too. For example, Sacred Blade works well because of the internal rhyme. (Same idea for Led Zeppelin and the remarkably similar Def Leppard, although I always thought those were disastrous monikers.)

How should that be translated? I remember one band from Kranj, not Metal but with amazing bandname: SROU PA LETU.

My faves: Voivod, Celtic Frost, Morbid Angel and one heavy rock band that starts with "B". On the Corroseum side: Dwarr, Lester Maddox, Black Hole, Parabellum ...
