I think one is an emo kid and another is a mallcore kid I think its pretty funny and nothing too bad about it other than a bit cheesey but it reminded me of the style of the metal law one so I decided to post it

haha that FBF is a cool cliche one. Is it really one good out of all the Thrash Renewal bands? I heard such things.

I'm not sure I just saw the album cover on a blog and saved it, never got around to listening to the album or even downloading it, I usually avoid new thrash and in fact I haven't been seeking out thrash metal at all for months.

Those new thrash bands are great. Unoriginal as fuck but they know how to make a catchy thrash song. And all the ones who bitch about them only do it because they're young bands, if those records were recorded in the 80's they'd listen to all of them.

On record I quite like Strikemaster, but they're not very good live. Fueled by fire on the other hand is not groundbreaking on CD but an excellent liveband. And I really mean excellent, the best band I've seen this year. I've seen them at KIT in front of 2000 people and in a local bar in front of 30 people. You'd think they would play calmly in front of such a small crowd but on the contrary, they made even more efforts to make the gig a real party! And yeah, their covers aren't very sophisticated but when it comes to mentality these bands often tend to the less serious side of thrash metal, i.e. Tankard etc.
Merciless death, decent on CD but live not very good. Bonded by blood not very good on CD and not very good live. Violator kills, curious to see them live in a few weeks.

Jesus christ they slayed once I saw them in Brazil some two years ago. The crowd went berzerk! Where they will be playing?

They're playing here in Belgium on the 27th of november together with Hyades, Tankard and a bunch of local bands. They have a show in France, and one in Italy, but that's all for gig dates. In the beginning the Belgian organizer wanted to get them here for a one-off gig...glad he got some sense of reality and atleast split the airplane tickets with 2 other promotors. I've been holding back on buying my ticket till this week because I feared cancellation...
Now that I think of it, this year I've pretty much seen every upcoming 'new' thrash band perform live, without that being my goal.

Violator live is a lot of fun, but all these new Thrash bands are like cover bands. They might be great fun live, but there's no point in buying the albums when the original versions are way better.
