I offered $150! Then cried all the way home when he said no :(
$700! Extortionist! Out of curiosity, where abouts dude? Not that I'd even think of buying it for those ammounts. Is it any good? I've never seen it anywhere.

Rare Records, where else. :(

He says mint condition on the website, but there's a 2inch seam-split on the botton of the jacket...

he only knows what it's worth, thanx to this:

He really makes me angry! :( I know I'm not the only one mate. So he's got his greedy little hands on another collection ey!? Yes it seems he's been doing a little research lately, seeing the demand or whatever other extortionists are getting away with and adding to it. In between taking photos* of records he acts like he knows all about it  , but really they just look like giant dollar signs to his eyes (*for the site. He'll add to the amount for this... as he likes to point out! its part of his ripoff pitch to customers)

Re: Veil of Mourn. Its now on his site for $75... in POOR condition! Who the hell does he think he is! Should be in a crate for $1!

I know this won't get much appreciation but...it is a shop right? And a shop has to make money in order to be able to keep on existing. So isn't it normal they have a high asking price?
I'm not saying it's a good thing, I'm saying it's a logical thing. A recordshop I visit regularly has been selling some rarrre metal records on ebay, no doubt that without popsike and ebay I could have bought them for a tenner in their shop. But...that's the way it is now. If I would come across some jazz records and saw they were worth $100 on popsike I'd try to sell them for $100 too.

Personally if for some reason I want to sell something, I'll offer it away for whatever I paid for it. $10-15 or better yet trade.

Now if I was a record store who brought records for a few measy dollars, if not nothing and found it was fetching $100, I'd sell it for a reasonable price under $30. You would think they would sell more items and therefore make more money that way. Alot of these expensive items just sit in the store and collect dust. I'm certainly not going to touch something over $40. It makes me sick. I'm sure the bands saw like next to nothing for those records, someones getting rich. People who buy records for such high amounts are just adding to the problem.

Hooray for legitimate reissues.

Rare Records in Melbourne.

http://www.rarerecords.com.au/

Sells TONS of promos & signed memoribilia. Has recently acquired some great metal collections & selling them for (unfortunately) OTT prices! Even Slayer's, Sepultura's, standard Metal Blade, Roadrunner & Mausoleum records for $50!!! He has Savage Grace-After The Fall... for $80!!! I only purchased what I thought was a good price, luckily he had some good ones I was after for decent prices...

Problem is, from what I've been told all this stuff was bought for next to nothing & the prices are almost criminal. But where he is situated is in a 'trendy' area & his rent would be insane, so maybe this justifies the price?

Yeah, the vinyl kitchen. They sold things like the Satan 7", Shell shock LP etc. on ebay. Maybe they'd know about the Satan 7" because that one is well known, but no way they would have guessed Shell shock or Trial being rare.
