I had some relaxed emails exchange with him some time ago (he politely asked for something from my collection) and also bought a cd from me on ebay last january ...
I also remember all his interesting "want list" threads ... R.I.P.

That guy selling those 350 CDs must have spent hours scanning and editing those pictures

Anyway, there's a message at the bottom, here's what Google translator says:
Information for all! Right now, the bids are simply much too far away from the real value of this unique collection. Assuming an average value of 40, - Euro per CD (although most of course cost much more ..) to get a sum of 14,000 euros in retail - which here is very probably comes together so much more! For in this collection includes many of the most sought after rarities. Perhaps this collection is therefore simply too large for a single collector. If by Thursday evening commanded nothing overly noteworthy doing goes out the collection and is split so that multiple collectors gotten them something. Also, the Epitaph CD that is loose thousands a value that goes out and into the collection with splitting. I am really excited to see what is still doing ...... you still can send me an offer at any time send ..!

I've never seen a copy online for 100 EURO. From my experience this was always a $300-400 CD (including the OBI) with many copies having peaked at nearly double that on ebay in the past.

the current high bidder is devilsronde = momojirou, the shill bid partner of him. stupid.

Probably you are right guys, but from my own experience it's cheaper, much cheaper.

http://www.ebay.de/itm/JAPAN-CD-MAD-MAX ... 417274c4f2 (No bids here a couple of times!)
and few weeks ago it was at amazon for 124 $. Seller from Japan. Description says it's original pressing from 1987
Maybe all these copies weren't included OBI strip, but hey, who wants to pay difference of 200$ or euros just for an OBI strip?

OBI strip and matrix code is something special for collectors.
i am not OBI maniac personally, but i have some OBI maniac friends. they don't buy any japanese CDs without OBI strip. $100 for Mad Max CD without OBI and $300 for CD with OBI ?? NO ! for them, $0 for CD without OBI, and $300 for CD with OBI. the person paid $100 for the Mad Max CD without OBI, may be not OBI maniac, some people will pay $10 for Century Media reissued CD than $100 for Combat original CD.

I would pay extra just to avoid dealing with extrememusic75.
And yes in some cases an OBI will mean a
huge difference in price.

Any Japense pressing without the OBI is only worth a fraction of a complete copy. It's like any collectors item.

you can always break records when you use a shill bidder

Ye, indeed heavy shill bid ... by the way, I nearly forgot how hilarious was to read Nebu posts, always insulting somebody

in that case, Sovdat ... strange diversion from the normal Avenger bashing (or me)

Before anyone asks I entered the wrong bid while bidding ($150 instead $15)

Hopefully the seller will understand and sell it to 2nd highest bidder (crazy price anyway) ...
