SHAH - Escape from Mind CD on SNC:
Anyone knows more about it? Was it really released in 1993 in cca. 300 copies? Or is it just a recent bootleg (I only saw 1 seller selling it, and he claimed that he has sold 30+ copies through the years)?
Some of the liner notes is written in cyrilic, it's even mentioned what kind of equipment band members play ... I wouldn't expect that on a boot, but anyway ...

I take from a very good Japanese source that this is a legitimate release, and you are correct ~300 copies in 1993. There is a bootleg version, but it is a CD-R with letters/numbers in the clear part of the disc hub. In any case the source material is this was mastered from must have been horrible, a spectral on this disc shows a frequency cutoff ~15000 khz like a 128 kpbs mp3. But still a nice snag, surely very hard to find.

Well maybe bootleg in the sense that SNC may not have had Shah's permission to release that particular recording, but many sources say that it was released by the actual label. As for the actual number of copies pressed, it's pretty hard to say with certainty.

yeah, the terror collection snc cd I have also has the same annoying cutoff and I expect the pshio cd to have it as well cause it was recorded at the same studio. A shame that this kickass band never got good production on any of their albums.

OK, now you have to let us know what YOKE OF STEEL sounds like. I always found that weird band name intriguing.
