nah, of course it's not some kind of metal requirement to like these guys. We all like something most people hate and hate something most people love I'm sure - I'm speaking entirely personally. I can't imagine not liking these guys and am occasionally surprised when someone into metal doesn't, it's not a statement on that persons taste or anything. It's just fun to argue about it!

It's always fun to argue, with FRIENDS ;)

I am with Giannis,Pagan Altar never meant anything to me at all.the fact that they are today's retro-undergroundsuperstars while tons of bands from the 80s are buried under shit forever does nothing but prove that infrastructures and powers-that-be rule everything, even in the 'underground'.

I've got a better idea.
It's saturday evening, so go out and have some fun.
Internet will not run away from you during these few hours.

I'm actually standing in line at the post office, so this is my best option at the moment

back to the topic at hand - saw Pagan Altar in London a few years back and thought his voice was quite good live myself. I've got a thing for weird sounding singers myself - especially people who can't technically sing that well but bring an interesting atmosphere to the music. Black Hole is a good example. Mr. T jones fits that bill for me

Haha Playonten, we were at the same gig in London. I think you hung out with my friends Antti and Sami(Albert from Reverend Bizarre) for a while that time.

The London ULU gig? That was a fantastic night.

It was incredible! That was honestly one of the most memorable nights of my life. My friend and I flew over just for that show, met tons of incredible people (including Phil Cope!), got just obliteratingly wasted, sang along to every word to every Warning song, ahhh the memories

Going for M&M. After "Defenders of the Crown" it's the best album of the past millenium for me.

I guess I have absolutely no idea what heavy metal is then... fuck, who cares.

Terry Jones has one of the best voices in heavy metal. I sure understand everybody doesn't like him. Anybody who shit their pants from singers like Tim Lachman will surely hate Terry Jones. Whatever, their loss, none of my concern, drunk, over, out.

Yes I guess you really don't have any idea what heavy metal is then if you want to call folk-rock pure steel. People are so fucking ridiculously protective of Pagan Altar - they never meant shit in the 80's, get over it.
