I can upload it if you want, but it's extremely raw and noisy.

Yeah, that's a no brainer. Gutter Ballet is a perfect album and the first in Savatage's triumvirate of flawless masterpieces for eternity. Hall of the Mountain King is not quite in that league but they were definitely getting there at that point.

HotMK is absolutely amazing - and flawless. It is not only my favourite Savatage album, it's also one the very best pure US metal albums ever released. Powerful, epic, frenzy and mystical, a real masterpiece.

True, but "Hall of the Mountain King" is the big exception here, imo of course. And also "The Dungeons are calling", which is an almost perfect EP, with some of their best songs.

I have nothing to argue. It's just that I like the three albums that followed it even more.

Where would O:Mindcrime sit in your Top 50?
Nowhere. But I said before; only 15 or so of the albums listed would make it to my top 50. Though O:Mindcrime would be at least in my top 250, unlike the other three albums I mentioned there.

it would be cool to see more of these! (!!!) if nothing else it'll be a great guide to the 80s for the intermediate knowledge-tier of 'ye olden tymes heavy metal'-enthusiasts (amongst which I count myself).
mine is in the works, but the ranking really isn't easy. most I'd rather just put side by side.. they are all 'the best' already, so many different styles, so many different original moods, plus they never have to compete with each other in a real-life setting anyways: you feel like that record now, you put it on. relatively simple and not steered by some hierarchy.
