I did too - but the sound is so incredibly awful I needed to get rid of it.. one of the very few examples where I prefer the CD over the "vinyl".

all the latest Maiden vinyl versions suck being pd-only..

Killers, Somewhere In Time and Piece of Mind all share no.1 for me.

Seventh Son! It's probably my favorite album of all time.

Second place would either go to s/t or Number of the Beast.

Even after all these years, I still can't understand why anyone would pick Killers over the first one. The debut just kicks ass from start to finish. The song sequence is perfect. Plus, it has Phantom of the Opera!

The ranking of Maiden's first 6 studio LP's has delivered me from kitchen staff induced boredom more times than I can count. I've pretty much had the same list since I was 17, but I always love to share regardless of the futility of discussion.

1. Killers (one of the few perfect records; sharing rank with Chris Isaak's "Forever Blue" and Impetigo's "Horror of the Zombies")
2. Powerslave
3. Somewhere In Time
4. s/t
5. Number of the Beast
6. Piece of Mind

I love Live After Death, but have a hard time including what essentially is a glorified "Best Of" on a list of this sort. I never listen to the record(s), but I watch the Sony Video LP religiously.

One of my favourite bands off all time. I discovered them in 1991 on a tape I got from someone which had Nirvana's "Nevermind" on it. On the B-side there were a couple of tracks from "Live After Death". I listened to the Nirvana-side a lot, but after a while I kinda found Maiden way more interesting (not that I dislike Nirvana though...). The first tape I ever bought was "Fear Of The Dark". I like most Maiden-albums (not the ones with Blaze), but my absolute favourite has been "Somewhere In Time" since many years. That album is pure escapism for me. I still feel 100% happy when listening to it. It gets me into outer space...

on another sidenote, i guess Iron Maiden is the HM band with most merchandise ever, you can find any person ,any age, anywhere wearing a Maiden shirt, and thats just one example...

You got me thinking...I have not one merch item by Maiden...what a shame!!!
I have to call that guy who was seriously in doubt to sell his original "Seventh Son..."-shirt as soon as possible!!!!
I know another guy who has a lot of NWOBHM-singles and shirts (including an original copy of "The Soundhouse Tapes"). Nowadays he only listens to crap like Machine Head, Korn, System Of A Down, Limp Bizkit... I asked him about a hundred times to sell me some stuff, but he still refuses. He says it brings back some good memories... Oh please move on dude...

Same with me. I'd love a t-shirt with the cover picture of self-titled or piece of mind (my fav album covers from the band).

Damn...

Great shirt! I'm really into white shirts lately. Combined with my black/white leather jacket and my torn up jeans I'm looking damn sexy!!!

kind of agree here, ive been more into his vocals with Samson actually
In comparison to who? If we are going to compare Dickinson to Tate, Arch or Halford for example, then yes, but as opposed to any other Maiden vocalist, he's easily on top...

The Number of the Beast and then Somewhere in Time.

Speaking of overrated Bruce, I think that the whole band is in fact overrated.

You can kill me now :D (while listening to any 8 min + Maiden track which repeats the song's title as a chorus till death)
